ABOUT SEAN GETTINGS

Sean Gettings was born in Cortland, New York and grew up in Buffalo, NY. He graduated from Williamsville East High School in 1989 and attended Niagara County Community College in Sanborn, NY and graduated in 1991 with a degree in Communications Media Arts.

In 1993, Sean packed up his Volkswagon and headed south to Atlanta, Georgia. He taught a photography class at Oglethorpe University for 3 years before landing a photography job with the Department of Defense.

Sean left the DOD for a full time career as a real estate investor in 2002 and has been a leader in revitalizing urban, intown neighborhoods. He specializes in renovating and improving neighborhoods by organizing neighborhood watches, cleaning up area streets and even providing assistant to older home owners who might need extra help.

After renovating 15 houses in Atlanta, Georgia the Gettings family decided to move west to Portland, Oregon. The west coast offers great skiing, hiking, camping, biking, great friendly people and a sense of community. We are glad to be a part of a city that cares about the environment, has lots of green spaces, bike lanes and a public transit system that is first class.

Sean hopes to help build better communities in neighborhoods such as Kenton, St. Johns, University Park, Portsmouth and Arbor Lodge. Working with local businesses, neighborhood associations and urban pioners intown Portland will continue to grow for years to come.
